Fuji TV, one of the most popular TV stations in Japan (they produce the popular show "The Iron Chef"),  made a documentary about Hank this spring.  With a Japanese actress, Maiko 
Kawakami  was a reporter for the documentary. You may have seen her in the children's TV works shop production of "Big Bird in Japan".  The film crew came to Nashville in early 
March  this year, and filmed here for 10days.  This documentary portrays  Hank's life and time in Nashville.  It also gives a great introduction of the country music scene in Music City, USA.  

This program "The Cowboy From Hakata"  aired in Japan from  5/19 ~ 6/26/2001.

News 2:  Scandinavian Country Music Festival 2001

While performing at Berlin Country Music Festival in Germany this February, the Scandinavian Country Music Festival promoters asked Hank to perform for them.  The festival will be from 8/10 ~ 8/12 this year and Hank will be performing on 8/12.  For those of you who will be going there, be sure to see him perform.  Before and after the festival, Hank will tour several cities in Germany.
